A 17-days classic safari in the Western & Southern part of Tanzania, visiting the famous & remote Selous Game Reserve, Mikumi NP & Ruaha NP and Katavi NP. With these different landscapes this safari has somethingfor everyone and is an amazing introduction to Tanzania’s wildlife.

Itinerary

Day 1Arrival at International airport of Dar es Salaam, representative of Remote Safari Co will meet you at the airport and will transfer you to Slipway  Hotel, on Bed and Breakfast basis.

Day 2 Early morning flight to Kigoma and boat transfer to Gombe Stream NP, Overnight at the Tanapa Resthouse FB

Day 3 Activities in  Gombe Stream NP, Overnight at the Tanapa Resthouse FB

Day 4   Overnight in Kigoma at Kigoma Hilltop Hotel,  HB

Day 5 – 7 Long road transfer on day 5 to reach katavi NP. Dinner and  overnight  Katavi Wildlife Camp inside the park, FB

Day 6 & 7 Full day  game drives in Remote’s vehicle  wth picnics. 

Day 8 Long transfer to Mbeya. Light lunch on the way. Dinner  and overnight at Utengule coffee Lodge HB

Day 9 Old Farm House in Iringa, half board terms.

Day 10  After breakfast, continue to Ruaha National park, and check in at Ruaha river Lodge inside the park 

Day 11 – 12 Ruaha National Park, Daily, full day  game-drives by Remote car with picnics. Dinner and overnight in the Ruaha River Lodge ,  FB

Day 14 An “expedition” through Uluguru Mountains to Selous Game Reserve ,   which is, depending on the river, a journey of about 8 – 9  hours. A beautiful drive through rivers, villages, small bridges and the tropical forest of Uluguru Mountains. Packed lunch on-route. Once in Selous, game drives en-route the eastern gate of the reserve. Dinner and overnight in Selous Wilderness Camp River View, FB + game activities.

Day 15 – 16 On both days, we enter Selous Game Reserve, for a full day of  game-drives. There will be one afternoon boat safari in one of these days.  Packed lunch on the day. Dinner and overnight in either Selous Wilderness Camp River View, FB

 Day 17 After breakfast, either transfer to Mtemere airstrip for a flight to Dar Es Salaam or Zanzibar, or a road transfer to Dar Es Salaam with picnics.
