Ang’ata Ngorongoro Camp

average rating is 4 out of 5

Set near the Crater Lodge on the eastern rim, Ang’ata offers relaxed comfort and superb access—perfect for early morning game drives when the crater is quiet and wildlife roams freely.
The camp includes 8 tents, including family units, all equipped with en-suite bathrooms, hot showers, and mosquito-draped beds. The lounge invites guests to gather with stories over Tanzanian coffee, while fresh meals are served daily in the dining tent. On clear nights, the Bush TV (the campfire) crackles beneath the highland sky.
Flexible and friendly, Ang’ata is ideal for travellers eager to explore: hike to Empakaai Crater, visit a Maasai village, ride donkeys with locals, or enjoy a crater-floor bush lunch. You can even celebrate a wedding or vow renewal in traditional Maasai style.
